The division is typically organized into specialized teams, each responsible for distinct functions such as licensing, compliance monitoring, and enforcement actions.
At the top of the structure, the Division Chief oversees all operations and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with regulatory goals. Beneath the Chief, teams are led by Team Leaders who supervise staff members dedicated to processing applications, permits and licenses, conducting monitoring, surveillance, and enforcing regulations.
Functions:
• Distributes regulatory policies and standards for information and compliance.
• Issues permits and licenses.
• Ensures that healthcare facilities adhere to regulatory standards for sustainability.
• Offers technical assistance, consultation and advisory services to stakeholders on health facility regulations.
